Good with some edge wear to boards, top corner bumps, and standard darkening of paper. Small stain on rear cover. No jacket, possibly none issued. Inscribed on title page: "Compliments of the season of Dec 1936 to the Heinies from the Brownies." A line drawn underneath suggests that the "Brownies" may have been a nickname for the publisher's family, but this is not certain.
