Bound in full black leather with four raised bands to the spine. Lettering and decoration to the spine and boards in gilt. Marbled e.p.s. A.e.g. ' The Prefaces, Indices, and the Text Revised by George Offor. E.S.Q. '. 'An Original Memoir of the Author by The Rev.George B. Cheever D.D. ' All full page plates, the facsimile of Bunyans will, and the fold out key to Bunyan's dream, present, though the fold out key has two closed tears ( repairable ) and is somewhat creased. Leather fold in to the rear board torn to the base.Upper, inner hinge between frontis plate and illustrated half title page is open, though binding remains tight and square. Cover somewhat scuffed with some small tears though no serious damage. Undated. The owners name - J.J.Martin - is in gilt to the base of the spine; and a family registry of births, deaths and marriages from 1864 to 1940 is neatly handwritten to the e.p.s. Overall a somewhat careworn example, but with all called for illustrations present, and the family registry, probably better than my critical descrption may indicate.
