Magnifique carte céleste en coloris d'époque rehaussé à l'or. Elle représente la structure de l'univers selon l'hypothèse de Tycho Brahe dessinée dans une vue plane.Richement décorée dans le style baroque, la carteest ornée de scènes, la plupart historiées représentant des chérubins, des astronomes, des instruments. le tout soigneusement mis en couleurs à la main à l'époque avec de très importants rehauts d'or. Cette magnifique carte céleste fut publiée dans l'ouvrage du célèbre cartographe, mathématicien et cosmographe néerlando-allemand Andreas Cellarius (ca 1596-1665) Harmonia macrocosmica seu atlas universalis et novus, considéré à juste titre comme le plus bel atlas céleste jamais publié et comme l'un des chefs-d'?uvre de l'âge d'or de la cartographie céleste. Le «planisphère de Brahe ou la structure de l'univers selon l'hypothèse de Tycho Brahe» représente une vue plane du système géo-héliocentrique de Tycho Brahé, avec la Lune et le Soleil tournant autour de la Terre immobile au centre, Mars, Saturne et Jupiter (avec ses 4 Lunes) tournant autour du Soleil. Les douze signes zodiacaux sont représentés autour de ce système. Le titre est inscrit dans deux tentures retenues par des angelots dans les coins supérieurs, tandis que dans les coins inférieurs sont représentés Tycho Brahe (en bas à droite) et un astronome (en bas à gauche) entourés de personnages et instruments scientifiques.2e tirage, avec le numéro6 dans le coin inférieur droit. The " Brahe's planisphere or the structure of the universe according to Tycho Brahe's hypothesis" represents a flat view of Tycho Brahe's geo-heliocentric system, with the Moon and the Sun revolving around the immobile Earth at the center, Mars, Saturn and Jupiter (with its 4 moons) revolving around the Sun. The twelve zodiacal signs are represented around this system.
