Second edition, revised with several new illustrations in June, 1898; first published in October 1897. Published as part of the publisher?s Endymion Series. Excellent Anning Bell decorative binding, top edge gilt, other edges untrimmed. Decorative endpapers, with glorious head- and tail-pieces, plus full-page illustrations in black and red. A sharp example, gently rubbed at corners and tips. The binding tight and square, the contents mostly fine, light offsetting to endpapers, contemporary gift inscription to first blank, some mild spots to prelims but largely fine. A handsome example.
