The scarce first collected edition of Henry Hart Milman's poetical works in an appealing fine binding. Complete in Three Volumes. With vignette engraved title page and frontispiece. Henry Hart Milman, 1791 - 1868, was an English historian, poet, and dean of St Paul's. In his early literary career, Milman was "for some time to be known principally as a poet, writing in the tradition of Scott and Byron". (DNB) Bound in leather with gilt lettering and decoration. The bindings are tight and firm. There is slight wear to the extremities, with only slight rubbing, heavier to the spines. With slight loss to the spine labels, with the lower spine label of volume two missing. Internally the pages are generally clean with just slight browning to the page edges, and light spotting to the first and last few pages only. Very Good Indeed.
