CHAPTER 1
"Falsehood has infinity of combinations, But truth has only one mode of being." Jean-Jacques Rousseau
SEEK THE TRUTH
What are you seeking? Why are you seeking? Perhaps you are seeking the Mysteries of Life, maybe the Mysteries of Eternity or are you seeking the Mysteries of Creation?
There are three things that man is sure of today: birth, physical life and death. Although many questions have been asked, one question has been asked often: "What is man that God is mindful of him?" (Psalms 8:4, King James Version). Since the beginning of man's existence he has been aware of some outer force, a higher force. This has been the same down through the ages with the primitive man, the cave man and it is the same today. It has been sufficiently established through various studies, investigations and science that mankind is a world complete unto self; in other words, he is a Pattern in Miniature and he is the ruler of his own miniature world.
Many questions have been asked by man and from these questions three eventually come to the forefront: a) from whence did we come, b) why, and c) where are we going?
Truth has always existed and it has never changed. Truth is immutable meaning unchangeable and eternal. When man was in the realms of the Holy Spirit he knew all truth; but as man began to lower his vibration to this physical plane we call Earth, he in a sense closed the door to truth. Imagine, if you will, the body of man as a house and his birth into this physical world was the closing of the door to the Higher Realms. The Holy Spirit is still there and truth has not changed, and now it is up to man to open this door from within to view the Higher Realms once again in completeness. The doorknob is on the inside. This truth has been beautifully demonstrated in a painting done by Warren Sallman called "Christ at Hearts Door." Christ and Truth stand waiting, silently knocking for you to open the door. Christ and Truth are unable to enter until you and you alone open the door to Him.
Man has always held some concept of truth according to his own ability to comprehend. Throughout many earth cycles and the progression of mankind as well as the development of the earth this understanding has increased and decreased.
Truth is an all-encompassing religion in that it teaches every aspect of creation (the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit). Truth also recognizes the trinity of man; the physical, mental, and spiritual and advocates the study of these aspects, as well as the Science of Life. Truth teaches us about the life of Jesus, the Christ and His mission: love and forgiveness for humanity, compassion for the bereaved, material aid for the needy, healing of the sick, meditation, prayer, and above all devotion to God.
As man takes the steps to progress in his spiritual development he finds that he is not guided by the material conditions of this world. Instead, he learns how to be guided by the spiritual revelations from within his being.
The New Age of Aquarius brings with it a new vibration and a new sense of seeking. The Aquarian Age is an age of increased illumination and it is another step in man's evolution. Mankind is beginning to take the steps to find the real Source: God. Mankind is beginning to think on more spiritual matters.
While seeking Truth, you may question what is religion? Religion translated means "to bind back." In reality, religion means something different to every individual and everyone is free to interpret it for themselves. Truth is not a denomination, creed, cult, faith or sect. Denominations are systems of religion wherein man is encouraged to search for himself and reap his own rewards. There have been and are many man-made denominations as well as man-made laws but these have served as rituals and ceremonies instilling fear instead of faith in the human mind.
According to Abraham (from a workshop held in Ashland, N.C. on April 25, 2004, entitled: The Law of Attraction, The Basics of the Teachings of Abraham: presented by Ester Hicks (Abraham and Jerry Hicks)): "It doesn't really matter what religion anybody believes. If their life is working (and there are many different approaches to life that are working very well) then why not let them believe whatever they want to believe? It's all working in the way that it is supposed to be. There are religions that you wouldn't want anything to do with, that are perfect mechanisms for the people who are involved in them. And therefore, they are a very good thing."
Throughout the many cycles of past lives, man has had a need to worship and has worshiped almost everything including animals, nature, trees, birds, dead ancestors, and idols. Also, he has worshiped ashes of departed souls, effigies, fire, the sun, the moon, sex organs, burial grounds, corpses, torture and black magic. This was always according to man's reasoning capacity and not God's. At the present time man has, to a slight degree, been enlightened and has desired to seek the truth. His love for Almighty God is growing and he is gaining a greater desire to serve. Therefore, the purpose of these writings is to encourage discipleship in the New Age.
Truth is nothing new and has always existed. Call it what you will, but the truth remains truth and is part of your progressive development. As far back as man remembers, even in primitive times man knew that his Spirit was Eternal; he knew beyond a doubt that he was something greater than just this physical body he carried around with him. History has shown that as far back as 40,000 years ago man made an effort to preserve and protect the spirit of his loved ones. He had an inner knowing that the spirit never dies but lives on. There have been cases where it was the custom to arrange food, clothing and trinkets for the comfort of the spirit that had departed, in the event the spirit should return.
Then came an era when mediumship and psychic demonstrations were outlawed, this happened in the Fourth Century around 325 A.D. During the meeting at the Council of Nicaea it was decided that the priesthood would be the ones to give divine guidance. It was decided that those who practiced outside of the priesthood were deemed to be 'false prophets' working for the devil and were labeled witches. This was the beginning of the infamous witch hunts. You may ask why was this done, it was done as a means to control Christianity. Witch hunters tortured, burned and put to death hundreds of thousands of individuals who were suspected of using their psychic gifts.
Even though hundreds of thousands of individuals were put to death during the Middle Ages because of their psychic gifts it did not stop Spirit. Spirit is not human and cannot be stopped. Spirit is of God and is constant and active and must express. The church fathers thought they could control who Spirit communicated with but to no avail. It was these events that the belief in spirit communication by someone not from the priesthood but an average individual was degraded much to the dismay and disappointment of sincere individuals as well as Spirit.
Spirit and spirituality are a phenomenon that is meant to be studied not just by the elite but by everyone. The purpose of spirit communication is good, sacred and holy and is meant to aid man that he might learn and progress spiritually living in this plane of life. The concept of Spirit and spirituality is growing and the need is great. In...
