Now the Flyfisher's Classic Library has come to my rescue and published a limited edition of 1,000 copies of one of the most entertaining works in the entire literature of angling. The two-volume set is exquisitely produced, quarter-bound in leather in one slipcase, and must represent the jewel in the crown of the game angler's library. Having devoured the text, a more leisurely second read indicated that, despite the technological chasm between O'Gorman's era and our own, there is much that has not changed. All good angling books should instruct and amuse. As long as rivers run, O'Gorman will give entertainment and enlightenment to those who are privileged to read his book and can appreciate therein a man who loved life and angling, and can share that with us from bygone, halcyon days."
