Brown blindstamped cloth with gilt spine lettering. 383 pp. The author is the daughter-in-law of Sir Walter Scott. There is considerable shelfwear. The cloth of the front board is puckered. The spine is spotted. The first six leaves or so are dampstained. There is mild foxing throughout. Previous owner's name is on the front free endpaper. The binding is sound and the hinges are intact.
