A very scarce copy of Edward R. Reid-Smith's fascinating and comprehensive list of Warwickshire Coats-of-Arms. Each entry contain a brief physical description of the crest of seven hundred and nineteen notable Warwickshire families. This copy has been rebound in a full cloth binding, with the original card boards bound to the front and rear of the work. Rebound with additional alternating blanks for note taking, with tipped in coloured images to pages featuring items 49-64, and 209-220 depicting armorial crests. Featuring a tipped in leaf to the rear pastedown of the work, recounting the itinerary of a 'Meeting at the Council House, Birmingham. Saturday, 15th July, 1961' for 'The Heraldry Society'. Rebound in a cloth binding, with morocco label tipped to spine and original card boards preserved. Externally excellent, with minor shelfwear to extremities and slight bumping to head and tail of spine. Handling mark to upper extremity of front free-endpaper. Internally firmly bound. Pages slightly age toned to extremities but very bright and clean throughout. Age toning to extremities of original card boards. The odd mark to fore edge of the occasional page, only visible to text block. Tipped in coloured images to pages featuring list 49-64, and 209-220.
