8vo. 11pp. Uncut, unopened, never bound. Some foxing, very good. Concerning the claim of Mary E. Benton, widow of Capt. Selah Benton, for benefits owed her late husband. Capt. Selah Benton enlisted in 1775, under the command of Col. Charles Webb and remained in the service of the army until nearly the end of the war. He was stationed in New Jersey in the winter of 1779-80 where he was exposed to severe cold and was thus disabled for the remainder of his life.
