Professionally rebacked in matching cloth with original backstrip with title and imprint laid on, corners slightly worn with cardboard showing at tips, tiny chip to edge of mounted colour plate, hardly noticeable, a little pale staining to cream area at top of upper cover, large pale stain to upper corner of lower cover, also showing on both pastedowns, occasional pale fingermark to margins, occasional tiny pale spot, 5 very small closed edge tears expertly repaired, contents very nice and bright. Binding tight and firm. A very good copy of an uncommon early Rupert, the first book of six in the series known as the Rupert Little Bear series.
