Real Photo Postcards of Jim White

Five real photo postcards depicting Jim White the famed discoverer of Carlsbad Caverns. RPPCs measure 5 ½" x 3 ½", have divided backs and are printed on AZO paper. Published between1920s-40s. All RPPCs are in very good condition with light wear to edges. RPPCs have titles or descriptions in the negative and show Jim White in the caverns or his western wear. Jim White (1882-1946) is the first person documented to come across the mysterious Carlsbad Caverns. He discovered them at age sixteen and became a leading figure in the investigation of the caverns and their eventually designation as a National Park. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 017573
