13 1/4 inches x 5 1/4 in. x 1 1/2 in. (thick); eight sewn signatures of a high-quality, thick, cream-colored paper, which form 96 blank pages; these are specially sewn with a tan cord, through two woodgrain-surfaced covers, pierced with five holes. The front cover shows incised borders and details, and a central panel which contains a painting of swirling, Jackson Pollock-like forms in mauve, black, white, and brown acrylics over a thicker yellow-green acrylic base, the front cover also features a closure formed of two stained wooden pegs, which are tied in with cord, and then a piece of cord, tied to the open-work spine of the book, this cord is pulled around the back cover, and can then be twisted around the pegs to keep the book closed. It can be displayed flat on the back cover, which makes it resemble the type of manuscript books produced in Southeast Asia, or upright, and slightly fanned open to display the open work spine and the special covers.
