Über die Autorin bzw. den Autor: Beth Moses Hickock (1911-2018) was a graduate of Pepperell, Mass. High School and attended two years of music school. In 1934 after the death of Grandma Moses's daughter she married Frank Moses and became the stepmother of Grandma Moses's two granddaughters. After Frank's death in 1971, she married Chester Julian Hickok in Bennington, VT where she lived for the rest of her life. For many years, she worked as a telephone operator for AT&T in the Dorset office and was the first music teacher in local rural schools and was active in AARP and other community groups in Bennington,
