8vo 8" - 9" tall; 246 pages; A very handsome copy in original dust jacket of the 1st in the Riddle Club Series. Early printing, probably 1929/30 dated from gift inscription to front endpage. Tightly bound and very neat. The Walter Rodgers illustrated dust jacket is crisp edged and uniformly bright. A smattering of pin head sized silverfishing to the lower edge of the front board. The dust jacket has a small, faint damp outline the size of a quarter near the crown of the spine panel. Trace shelf rub to the flap folds. Prior owner name and date penned top edge of the front endpage. Scarce in dust jacket and rare in condition. Unlikely to be found in an example of better condition. NF/NF.
