Donald Maxwell provided both full page, and small images for this 184 page volume. The illustrations are in black-and-white. The map end papers are from drawings by A. E. Taylor. This volume is undated. Internally, the pages are clean and bright. There are no marks, marginalia or other markings to the pages. The boards are a raspberry colored cloth and have a gold paper label on the spine with black lettering. The publisher's name is at the bottom of the spine in gilt. The spine ends are soft. All corners are sharp except one. Unfortunately, there is light foxing to the edges. The dust wrapper is a lighter shade of raspberry and has a glassine cover. Both the paper cover and the glassine cover have some chipping along the edges. All corners of the flaps are cut at a diagonal. There is a previous seller's price in pencil on the front flap. Both the book and the dust jacket seem to be in Good+ or Very Good- condition. Both the dust jacket and glassine cover are now protected by a clear removable cover.
