Folio (37.8 x 27.5cm). With aquatint title & 16 very finely coloured aquatint plates heightened with gum arabic. A stain to the fore-edge margin of the plates (visible on images) extending at most 15mm, but mostly less and not as far as the engraved captions. Some very occasional foxing restricted to a few upper margins. The plates otherwise clean & with beautiful contemporary colour. Publisher's green cloth, with gilt title to front & blind decoration front & rear rebacked to style & with worn fore-edge corners.
