Softcover, staple-bound pamphlet, (VG-), no date, 12 pages, illustrated in b&w with 5 images by Remington (4 full-page, one inter-text), 6-5/8 in. x 9-1/2 in., grey laid-paper covers with black titles, bound with two center staples, corners and spine ends slightly bumped and worn, one tiny chip to lower edge of front cover, very slight rubbing to covers, lower page edges show very minor wear, mild bumping to page corners, last four pages show one tiny chip to top edge near spine (rear cover NOT affected), at some point in the book s history one very small piece from the illustration at center stuck to its facing page and pulled away leaving a small abraded spot, ink stamp ('Printed for the Fort Ticonderoga Museum') on verso of first blank leaf with a little transfer to base of first page, otherwise contents clean and tight, item protected in new clear plastic sleeve, book: Very Good- {Per footnote on first page: 'This article originally appeared in "Harper's Magazine," November, 1897, under the title "Joshua Goodenough's Old Letter."
