A limtied edition collection of the early poems of Eric Walter White, published by the private High House Press. A limited edition work, limited to one-hundred and eighty-copies, of which this is number seventy-three.The poems of Eric Walter White, written between the years 1921 and 1926.Other poems in this collection include 'Brean Down', 'By Touch of Life', 'Peppin', and more.White was a man of many talents, being a composer, translator, editor, musicologist, and more, collecting many manuscripts during his life.Bookplate of the Dorset Collection to the front pastedown, in a labelled file envelope. Presumably a file copy, most likely the publisher's own.Published by High House Press, a hobby press based on the High Street, Shaftesbury. Founded by the schoolmaster James Edwin Master, with help from his wife Beatrice. All the works were hand-set and hand-printed by the couple, who started the venture with virtually no knowledge of printing, all working on hand-made paper. In the original publisher's quarter paper vellum binding with marbled paper to the boards. Externally, smart, with a touch of discolouration to the spine and a couple of faint marks.
