Provenance is the Edward G. Mathey collection. Beige wrappers with black lettering on cover. Significant soiling to wrappers; slight shelf wear to edges. Staple have started to rust, but binding is still tight. Interior is clean except for a spot of foxing to fore-edge of text block. "Mathey Collection" is written in pencil on cover. Captain Edward G. Mathey served in the Seventh U. S. Cavalry, at the time of this pamphlet's publication he was stationed at Fort Grant in the Arizona Territory. During his service with the Cavalry from 1867 to 1896, he participated in the Battle of the Washita, the Black Hills Expedition, the Battle of Little Big Horn (where he was in command of the pack train) , and the Nez Perce Indian War.
