Über den Autor: Roy Bucek lived the "American Dream" to its absolute fullest, chasing jackrabbits as an impoverished farm boy in the 1920s and spending the rest of his remarkable life chasing down dreams. Along the way, Bucek became an All-American hurdler at Texas A&M; a national champion in football in 1939; a Purple Heart winner in World War II; an entrepreneur of incredible resourcefulness; a visionary with one plastic eye; and a legendary story-teller. Rusty Burson is a Vice President with the 12th Man Foundation and the Associate Editor of 12th Man Magazine, where he has covered all Texas A&M sports since 1996. Burson, a 1990 graduate of Sam Houston State, has authored 11 previous books and is a former sportswriter with the Galveston Daily News and Fort Worth Star-Telegram.
