Beautiful vintage 3 volume set of books, all done on green leather flexible boards, bright gilt blindstamped illustration of an owl in a decorative frame on each cover, gilt illustrations and lettering on the spines that appear to be brown color leather. Included in the lot - "The Rule & Exercises of Holy Living" - Volume One and Two, each copyright 1900, published by J. M. Dent and Co., Aldine House, London W.C. The third volume in this set is "The Rule & Exercises of Holy Dying, copyright 1901. Each volume has tissue guard between title pages and frontispieces. The inside endpaper on each cover is stamped with a bookplate "Jeremy Taylor - Born 1613 Died 1667 - First Edition Published 1650". The first volume has a beautiful presentation script to Mr. James Fenton, and dated March 1901. Each book has gilt top page edges and bound in silk page marker.
