Written and illustrated by Alfred Bestall, a British author who wrote and illustrated Rupert Bear for the London Daily Express, from 1935 to 1965. In the original pictorial paper covered binding. Externally, smart with light wear to the extremities and the odd small mark to the boards. Ink marks to the front board. Light sunning to the spine. Internally, firmly bound. Pages are very bright with the odd small spot. Ink inscription to the front endpaper "This book belongs to" section, with ink marks to the title page and first two pages. Very Good.
