Light foxing of edges but otherwise a very good copy. Illustrated by 11 photographic and engraved plates, including frontispiece, by double page plan and map and by drawings and photographs in text. Decorated by head and tailpiece vignettes. One of the numerous Homeland Handbooks series of guides. A very useful pocket sized guide. This paperbound second edition is dated late 1907 according to the series list and probably appeared in the same year as the cloth bound first edition. Founded by Patrick Marrin's father George in 1946, Marrin's Bookshop has been based in its current Folkestone location since 1963. Patrick has worked in bookselling since 1970. As well as rare antiquarian books, maps and prints, the stock includes a wide range of literature, library sets, travel, history and illustrated books in all fields. We also offer a bookbinding and restoration service. Visitors to the shop are welcome and we exhibit at UK book fairs.
