Broadsheet trade catalog (approximately 10 3/8" x 17 1/2") of the Chicago clock and jewelry wholesaler, A. C. Becken Co. Recto shows illustrations with descriptions and prices of 7 large enameled iron and wood clocks. Verso shows 12 illustrations with descriptions and prices of smaller clocks. Not listed in Romaine. The 1911 Book of Chicagoans reports that Albert C. Becken started a jewelry business in 1883, traveling among lumber camps to sell watches to men. By 1886, he had moved to St. Paul and established a "watch jobbing business. " In 1892 he moved his wholesale business to Chicago, where he remained for the rest of his career.
