Head and foot of backstrip a little rubbed and lightly bumped. Boards a little bumped at tips of lower outer corners, and slightly rubbed at tips of upper outer corners. Inner edges of dust jacket flaps previously attached to pastedowns by application of selotape strip of width 13mm (½"), the strips overlapping upper & lower edges of dust jacket front & rear panels by up to 11mm (just under ½"). Grazes present where selotape attaching flaps to pastedowns removed; those short sections of selotape overlapping dust jacket front & rear panels still present, with some associated dust-soiling and usual discoloration. Both front and rear flyleaves faintly toned & spotted, neat two-line gift inscription on front flyleaf. Binding and contents clean and tight, strip-grazes on pastedowns not too unsightly. GOOD+ copy in FAIR unclipped dust jacket missing segment shared by lower inner corner of rear panel and foot of backstrip, moderately chipped elsewheres, a little dust- & handling-marked and faintly & sparsely spotted, selotape-marked as mentioned, and with narrow broken rust-coloured trail of length 95mm (3¾") on front panel.
