About fine but for a touch of sun fading to top of spine at back hinge and back cover, and is slightly cocked. The jacket is a bit rubbed, with several small chips, and a closed tear. Back panel is a little soiled. First edition of the first novel by Patterson, who went on to write many bestsellers under the name Jack Higgins.
