The First UK Printing published by Kaye and Ward in 1969.The BOOK is in near FINE condition and appears unread.Light bumping to the corners and a small '2p' penned price to the front pastedown.The WRAPPER is price-clipped and is in VERY GOOD+ condition.Small amount of rubbing on the spine, the spine ends, corners and folds.Some small closed tears to the edges.The spine colouring has faded.Wonderful wraparound Peter Firmin artwork looks very striking in the removable Brodart archival cover.The book has been SIGNED by Peter Firmin in pencil to both the half-title and the dedication pages.Peter Firmin is an English artist and puppet maker.He was the founder of Smallfilms, along with Oliver Postgate.Between them they created a number of popular children's TV programmes:The Saga of Noggin the Nog, Ivor the Engine, Clangers, Bagpuss and Pogles' Wood.Wonderful decorated end papers and colour illustrations throughout.Accompanied by a clean Noggin The Nog promotional postcard.Extremely scarce to find as the true First Edition and with such attributes.
