W.W. Jacobs Liked To Write About Working Class Seamen And Dockworkers And Was Apparently Well Regarded By Wodehouse For His Ear For Dialect. He Also Wrote Some Horror Stories, One Of Which, The Monkey's Paw, Has Been Rendered In Film Several Times.Copp, Clarke, 1908. Blue Boards With Gilt Titles And A Seaman Vignette In Orange And Gilt. Caption For One Of Will Owen's Black And White Illustrations Says, "Fancy You In A 'Hat Like That," Pursued The Astonished Boatswain, "No Wonder I Thought You Was A Lady!" Worn, Canting, Front Hinge Going, Some Foxing, Former Owner Signature. Print Details Indicate 'First Printed In 1908,' So Possibly A Canadian First. Bestandsnummer des Verkäufers 006974
