Inhaltsangabe: Homeschooling your children? Trying to balance work, family, and spirituality in these difficult times?
This book lights the path.
The family is the foundation of the civilization of love. It cannot be underestimated nor its responsibilities cast off to society's whims and fancies. It is the front line in the renaissance of character formation. Yet, today, many families have drifted from this primordial calling. So, how can the family fulfill its true vocation without a new road map to lead the way?
Chantal Howard, homeschooled daughter and now homeschooling mother, has sought to provide a response to this burning question. From childhood to homeschooling, to marriage and beyond, this work touches on the essentials for faithful living in today's world. Journey with her through the story of her family and discover numerous practical suggestions and the wisdom of great saints and thinkers. Venture down the path of a rule of life that will help elevate you and your family to the heights.
The road is steep and hard to climb, but the family can triumph over evil if it is rooted in the power of Christ. Only truly courageous families will survive this expedition, so be sure to have this "survival manual" on hand.
Transform the future.
Foreword by Fr. Antoine Thomas, CSJ
Über den Autor: Chantal R. (Dussault) Howard was homeschooled from fourth grade through high school. She graduated through the Kolbe Academy Home School program in 2002. Her homeschool experience was not conventional, as her time was divided among training as a high-level gymnast, discerning a religious vocation, assisting with a family-owned business and assuming greater family responsibilities at age fourteen after the untimely death of her father due to cancer. Shortly after graduation, Chantal married theologian Peter Howard, S.T.D. (Founder of The Catholic Hour movement and the Fulton Sheen Society). She has dedicated her time to raising their family and sharing with others the insights she has gained through her young but eventful life. Besides being a mother and homeschooling her children, she is now a part-time gymnastic coach, an oblate of the Community of St. John, and enjoys deepening her knowledge and love of the Catholic Faith. She has spoken at the Rocky Mountain Home Educators Conference and at other homeschool and young adult events. She looks forward to sharing her journey through her book, articles and speaking arrangements. Chantal's personal testimony of homeschooling and Catholic family life brings to light the necessary ingredients for building a future generation of well-formed and faith-filled families. She and her husband live in Aspen, Colorado, and have four children, whom she is homeschooling.
