Contemporary ownership inscription to head of title page of first bound work, very occasional light spotting. A sammelband of nine anthologies of moral and spiritual tales and songs published by Manchester based printer George Nicholson at the turn of the nineteenth-century. It would appear that a majority of the present publications were initially issued separately, before later being incorporated into the 'Literary Miscellany' collections issued by the Ludlow printer - we can however find no record of a miscellany made-up of these constituent works.
