1954.third Impression hardback. VG, in original publisher's green cloth with gilt titles blocked in black to spine. Unclipped dust-wrapper. xxii, 664 pp.; portrait frontispiece, mono plates and numerous folding maps. A VG copy, slightly rubbed at the extremities and foxed at the page-edges, in a near VG wrapper showing overall wear, slight chipping and dustiness, light marks and some overall discolouration, spine a little darkened and spotted. Small tears to corners.Contents are clean and tight, with just a little light foxing to early and latter pages. The dustwrapper is housed in a protective removable sleeve.
