Two very scarce works.The first work is titled 'Come and See the Fair' and the second 'Holiday Express'.Both are in the same unusual '4-Together Books' format, with paper slip cases and loosely inserted booklets.Instructions to the rear of the slip cases ask the reader to 'pull out the little 4-together books and break them into four separate books by tearing along the perforation. Each one has a story to tell in full colour pictures and simple words. Open the little books as you do a calendar'.'Fair' volume with twenty-eight illustrated colour panels, 'Express' with twenty-four colour panels.Undated, dated circa 1954 via the University of Oxford.With the label of Michael and Megan Dawson, a husband and wife who established a successful business dealing in and restoring pop-up books, to the rear board of each front pastedown. In the publisher's original paper slip cases, with loosely inserted booklets. Externally, smart, with a touch of edgewear to front wrap head, and rear wrap lightly age toned. Perforated standing tabs to rear of slip cases pressed out but present. Internally, firmly bound. Perforations in booklets unopened. Pages clean and bright. Very Good.
