6 x 9", 6pp. Printed gray card covers with title on front covers, sewn on a green silk cord. Text pages are printed on a thin & fragile newsprint type paper, which has browned with age. Very minor wear to cover edges, else a fine copy with the delicate pages of text well preserved. This is a very scarce & easily damaged printing! Contains selections of J. W. Mackail's prose translation of the Georgics here beginning: "What makes the cornfields glad; beneath what star it befits to upturn the ground Maecenas, and clasp the vine to her elm [.]".
