The third, revised and enlarged edition of a book about all Roman emperors, including those from the Byzantine Empire and the Holy Roman Empire. The author starts with Gaius Julius Caesar and ends with the Austrian Emperor Charles VI. There is an engraving on the frontispiece and several headpieces and tailpieces. Each chapter contains at least one engraved portrait of the emperor, made after old coins. The book also contains a detailed bibliography, index and unpaginated errata ("Addenda, Delenda, & Emendanda"). Two pages with the publisher's list of other books is included.
