He has a BA in Mass Communication from Alabama State University, an MA in Christian Education from Reformed Theological Seminary (Jackson) and Selma University, and his DMin from Anderson University. He has been married to his wife LaTonya for 25 years, and they have three children (Kalen-22, Jeffrey-19, and James-12).
