Inhaltsangabe: On their epic journey around the world by horse-drawn caravan, the Grant family had to deal with war in Yugoslavia, arrest in Mongolia, deportation from China, and the death of their horse, yet they still managed to make it back to Britain - seven years after they set off.
Über den Autor: David R. Grant was born and brought up in Edinburgh. His varied career has included being a crofter, fisherman, jackaroo, sheep-shearer, member of a film crew, expeditions leader and ecologist/wildlife manager. He has made excursions to the remoter Scottish islands, to Arctic Scandinavia and most of the western Sahara Desert, been a hostage of the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine and for a number of years owned his own horse. His trip round the world in a horse-drawn caravan was the first of its kind, and earned him and his family an entry in the Guinness Book of Records.
