Containing a series of essays descriptive of life in England during Shakespeare's lifetime; by various contributors, including Robert Bridges, Walter Raleigh, Charles Hughes, Percy Simpson, and J. W. Fortescue among others.Illustrated with a frontispiece and one-hundred illustrations, of which sixty-six in full page to vol. I and ninety-five illustrations to vol. II, of which fifty-nine in full page. Collated, complete. In the original publisher's uniform full cloth bindings. Externally lovely with light bumping to head and tail of spine.
