The Shape of Crete is a thrilling drama set on the Greek island of Crete, where a Bulgarian artist and an American historian hope to rekindle a past romance but soon find themselves entangled in a dangerous game of deceit and misunderstanding fueled by lost family WWII history and Greek Myths. They meet an Englishman searching for traces of his brother missing since 1943, a local woman whose father was a partisan war leader, and shards of information that reveal Steffi’s grandfather fought with the Nazis. Danger lurks when a local thug decides the two have found the key to missing gold left on Crete. The final tension unfolds in a labyrinth-like cave akin to the mythical battle between Theseus and the Minotaur. An unexpected conclusion questions whether love's best outcome is enlightenment or physical survival.
