This VG- book was published by R. F. Fenno & Company in 1910; it is 8" x 5/1/4" with 326 numbered pages; if it was issued with a jacket, there is no jacket now; it has a frontis + 3 illustrations --all are on coated paper and all are present and firmly attached. This book has a very slight lean, and is reasonably clean, free of edge dings and with bumps to the lower corners which has caused only slight color loss. The spine ends also have bumps, with slight wear but no fabric damage. The spine has soiling and a vertical crease (see photo). The spine and front panel lettering and the front illustration are intact. Which gets us to the book's major flaw. Though barely visible on the front panel, there is a water stain on the front panel that goes 2-1/2" from the front gutter, then 2-1/2" up the spine, and finally across the bottom approximate one-third of the rear panel. Are the pages stained? Yes, but there is no swelling and only rather minor discoloration on the paper (see photos of the title page and the one illustration). Except for a small book store sticker on the rear paste down and the just mentioned water stain that is at least faintly visible on each page, the interior is completely free of writing, stray marks, other stains and paper damage of any sort. The paper is very slightly toned and very flexible and not brittle; end pages have a modest amount of toning. Both hinges are very strong and not damaged in any way.
