After receiving advanced degrees in engineering, law, and business, and licenses as a civil and mechanical engineer, architect, attorney, real estate broker, and general contractor, Richard felt he had done it all. His training made him a very mental sort of guy, and a little out of touch with his feelings. HAWAII MAGIC I went to the island of Kauai to finish a workshop series that had started in California. Most of the lectures had been very mental and not experiential. I hoped we were going to Kauai to get some hands-on experience. I was wrong. Fortunately, I had taken along some mushrooms.

One day I was with Donna and Crystal having drinks and discussing what we might do with our free afternoon. I knew Crystal from a Robert Monroe out of body workshop, where she seemed full of fun, so I asked her if she would like to do mushrooms together.

She lit up and said "That's a wonderful idea, I'll bring the chocolate." "Why chocolate?, I asked. "It makes it better," she said. I had never heard that one, but I was up for "better." She and Donna were staying in a house on a very secluded beach.

Several hours later we were strolling down the beach popping mushrooms and chocolate, having no idea of the mysterious adventure we were beginning. The beach was less than a mile long, with about ten houses on one end. A road was in front of the houses.

We had started down the road, but seeing it would come to an end, left the road and walked down the beach. A forty foot high cliff began where the houses stopped. It paralleled the ocean and there was a narrow grove of trees between it and the beach. At one spot the cliff moved out to the water and formed a point around which we walked. Around the corner we saw a strip of beach with trees and a small waterfall at the cliff. There a native fisherman was casting his net on the clear, still ocean. The water fall was surrounded with luxurious plants and flowers. The whole scene could have been right out of a movie.

We stood by the waterfall waiting for the mushrooms. I was practicing a form of neck massage on Crystal that had made me very popular with the ladies in the workshop. (The men were not eager to have such an intimate experience with another man.) The massage usually makes a person aware of their body energies. Crystal started getting sexually aroused which I did not want to encourage, so to break the trend, I suggested we do open eye meditation. She agreed and we sat on the ground facing each other but out of reach. I faced the waterfall and she the ocean. I looked Crystal straight in the eye, but she was staring at a point just above the bridge of my nose, a trick used by hypnotists. I told her this was not about hypnosis, this is to be done eyeball to eyeball. She thought I was going to try to control her so I let her know that control was the last thing on my mind.

She settled down and tried to look at me straight away. She was giving me startled looks of amazement. I asked her what was going on and she said "Your face is changing to look like, Buddha, my father, and my various teachers, and sometimes I see the ocean in your eyes." I don't know what was happening, but she was sure control was my game. We renewed our efforts and to both of our amazement, a brilliant luminous silver tunnel of energy formed between our heads. Her fifty year old face looked like that of a sixteen year old beauty. I was seeing her etheric face, its perfect blue print. I don't know how the tunnel formed but it was so brilliant I could not see through it. This put her more into her control fears.

Meanwhile, what I felt can only be described as divine. Colorful, transparent auras were projecting from the flowers around the waterfall. It seemed my body was feeling energy from the earth, the plants, the trees, and the air, I felt in complete harmony with everything. When Crystal gave me another round of "you're trying to control me," I told her I was just trying to get her to relax so she could feel the divine energy I was feeling. With that, she relaxed and looked me in the eyes.

Within seconds, I felt a great rush of energy flowing into the seat of my pants and up my body. As the energy reached my head, our chakras fired off and one by one energetically joined starting at the bottom and ending in an incredible blast of energy between our third eye centers at the brow. It was like she was in my head and I in hers, and we connected above to the source of all there is. It was the most beautiful experience of my life. No sexual experience I've had even comes close. Just writing about it turns on my spine and brain. When I tell this story to sensitive people they are amazed how energized I get.

Crystal seemed unable to sustain the energy flowing between our brains. She broke the trance by picking up my hat, covering her face with it, and falling over backwards, saying with a laugh, "Oh your hat." She rolled on the ground laughing and said, "Oh I see." She told me later she suddenly understood everything her spiritual teachers had told her. It was clear our interaction was on hold while she rolled in the sand off in some other world.

I'm convinced if she had been able to sustain the energy flowing between our third eyes, we would have gone out of body together and had a cosmic orgasm. I've never had one, so I can only imagine what it is like. People who study certain Taoist and Tantric practices to sexually stimulate their auric fields, get to the state we experienced without sex. They then leave their bodies together and have an energetic experience with source of all energy. Some people will think I'm saying they had sex with God.

When you leave your body you are undifferentiated energy, your sexual organs are part of your body. Some people use their sexual energy to drive open their bodies' energy network and chakras so they can receive more earth and cosmic energies.

I was just as cognizant as I am now, and began to think of what to do without Crystal. It was late afternoon when I turned around to look out from under the trees to the ocean where a whole new world greeted me. Puffy cumulus clouds were marching slowly across the horizon, with glowing auras. The air was luminous with energy and was permeated with a grid of dots. I walked out and sat on the beach. As I relaxed and focused on a cloud, I could feel energy flowing between us. I felt like Carlos Castenada, magic was in the air.

As darkness slowly crept in, a full moon began its ascent into my magical world. I have never felt any effects from the moon, and never believed in lunacy or other full moon problems. When the moon was full in the sky I stood facing it with my arms outstretched. I relaxed and looked the man in the moon right in the eye, and he almost blew me over with a shaft of energy from the sky.

I don't seem to have the hallucinations reported by many, I see a much broader spectrum of energy than normal and I am more sensitive to feeling energy from all sources. With this broader visual spectrum, looking into this Hawaii night was like looking into a space colony with all sorts of energy flashing from stars and other heavenly bodies.

With darkness came concern about the tides and my ability to communicate with Crystal the need to return. As I approached her, still rolling in the sand and laughing like a hyena, I jokingly asked, "What do you think of this energy?" as I pointed my right hand at her feet. To my surprise, energy streamed down my arm and out my fingers. She gave me a look of surprise as her body rippled with energy and I drew circles up her body to her head. I rounded up all possessions but Crystal was going nowhere. I decided to seek help from Donna back at the house.

I went right to the end of the road instead of staying on the beach. The houses had auras, this seemed impossible. I had not seen these houses before, and for a short while I thought I had stepped into a different time zone. Then I remembered we had left the road before reaching these houses. I found a house with inside lights on making its colorful interior very attractive. I said hello to the lady out on the porch. It was Donna and she was quite anxious about Crystal because she had psychically picked up that she was not all together.

We quickly started our return and I filled her in on the events. About ten minutes into our walk, I paused and said to Donna "What do you think of this?" I stood still and looked at the moon and my auric field bloomed. She ran to me and gave me a big hug. All of a sudden Donna didn't seem concerned with Crystal as I ran energy into her sensitive body.

There was no laughing hyena to be heard when we got back to the falls. I couldn't see Crystal and became quite concerned. I noticed what looked like a log on the beach which turned out to be Crystal, coated with sand. Donna got right down in her face and started to relate to her world. She gradually brought her back to this reality and led her back to the house. As they returned, I more or less followed, but was still into energy magic.

The ladies were both in the shower trying to rid Crystal of sand when I got back. I had to wait for a ride, so I went out to the beach and sat. A dog came up to me, very matter of factly walked in a circle and sat in front of me. I thought how nice it was he was so comfortable with me, a stranger. A cat approached me and wanted to be petted. After a few moments I started to juice the cat with energy, and the cat freaked out. It could not get enough of me. The cat became such a pest I had to escape to a rock out in the water.

The event ruffled the lady of the house who was sensitive to drug issues because she was a recovering alcoholic. She gave me a ride at the cost of her reading me the riot act all the way back. Little did she know Crystal and I had a once in a life time experience.

I have never been out of control like Crystal, yet she too feels it was her all time great experience. Maybe I'm the one who missed out by being too much in control. Her experience seemed to be primarily internal, whereas, mine was external and phenomenal (physical). She seemed to gain a lot of spiritual insights. At one point she said to Donna, "I don't know what is real anymore."
