Inhaltsangabe: To and To contains poems and halftones of drawings and sculptural installations featuring Sigler's clay poems. Sigler's writing throws off a glare of understatement: "A leaf / reveals / its own /graph // pushing out / its chest," Sigler writes in "A Flat Chest." Beneath the glare, description changes into something rich and strange: "The past desert / had credentials: // the amplified tinkle / of a leaf // the mingling roar / of a school fence // two collapsed ginghams / made portable," he writes in "The Desert." These poems also come with credentials, "a minor grit" lodging in the shadow text or image that accompanies any reading of them: As Sigler writes in "Agent": "Tug my nose // from the / friendly brown / air // Untie the / two which / drag my / boots // Announce me // through the / megaphone of / my ear"
