Hardcover. Zustand: Very Good. Publisher's original glossy boards, quarto, pp. vi, 334. Many black and white portraits. Dust jacket was not issued with this title. Our one quibble with this prodigious work of scholaship, nicely done-up by the publisher, is that it does not contain a separate Geographical index of the Signers. If a reader wanted to look up GEORGIA, for example, and see who the three signers were, there is no freestanding index for that query. The book is in alphabetical order only, beginning with John Adams and ending with George Wythe. Other than that, however, it is safe to say the author really outdid herself with biographical and genealogical research, including a unique and valuable appendix describing "Interrelationships Among Signers And Their families".
