A scarce Nineteenth Century fourth edition of Anthony Hope's 'Simon Dale'. An English novelist and playwright, Hope was a prolific author of adventure novels, and is now primarily known for his books 'The Prisoner of Zenda' and 'Robert of Hentzau'. Contains illustrative plate to endpages. In cloth binding with gilt detailing. Externally quite smart, there is some wear to the joints, backstrip and extremities.
