Large oblong hardcover with dustjacket, "The outstanding lithographer of horses and colts has now produced what is perhaps his finest work," book has a few minor flaws: the former owner's bookplate on the first blank page, mild tanning to the blank end-papers only and some light foxing on the back cover that is noticeable but does not detract much from this copy's appearance, the binding is tight and the contents are fine, the illustrated jacket also has some foxing on the rear panel, it is more noticeable than the foxing on the book, (please see our photos) The jacket also has a small edge-chip and a few short edge-tears, the front panel illustration of a horse and rider in full gallop is in great shape, the original price (5.00) is present and a professional (removable) mylar cover is included, great illustrations, informative text.
