1972 Reprint of the 1923 edition by Cecil Palmer. Red publisher's cloth with gilt titles on spine. In the original un-clipped dust jacket with red and black titles and a woodcut illustration of smugglers on the cover. Dust jacket would be considered FINE but for very slight darkening near the top. Lord Teignmouth had access to many previously secret documents of the British Admiralty from the 18th century, which he transcribed and used in this book. With 27 b/w illustrations.
