The new full-colour edition of this popular textbook has been updated to match the revised AQA exam specification, providing a fresh, interactive approach that is both visually appealing and accessible to all students. Written by a team of enthusiastic and experienced authors and senior examiners.
The book is divided into eight units:
• An introduction to sociology
• Families and households
• Health
• The mass media
• Education
• Wealth, welfare and poverty
• Research methods
• Preparing for the AS exam
Each unit is divided into a number of topics, organised in a consistent and easy-to-follow format. Each topic contains text to develop knowledge, but also equal amounts of activities and suggestions for research to develop the subject-specific and ‘key’ skills needed.
