The first work by Paradisi was written to commemorate the opening of the newly restored University of Modena with a discussion on its history as an educational institution and the educational reforms initiated with the opening. This is followed by two essays by Mabil (one in both French and Italian issues) which discuss the influence of poetry on social behaviour and the importance of governmental patronage for the literary community of Brescia. The fifth essay is by Biffi, who was a leader of the Milanese Enlightenment along wiht Pietro and Alessandro Verri and others. His essay, along with the final one by Moscati, are on public instruction and reflect the influence of French Revolutionary ideas on Milanese reform. All are scarce. A near fine copy.
