Wyatt Mashburn is always on the move. After spending his early childhood living in an old bus in rural Tennessee, he moved in with his grandmother in Layton, Alabama. Wyatt enjoyed his newfound stability but still longed for something more. He saved up to buy a used pickup truck and headed straight out of Alabama for points west.

After a pit stop in Montana, Wyatt moved back to Tennessee and met the amazing Maggie Fields. Maggie, like Wyatt, had a rough start, but with her considerable charm, wit, and heart, she set out to make her life better.

As Wyatt and Maggie grow closer, Wyatt discovers an old family heirloom with a mysterious message. Wyatt thinks nothing of it until he decodes its secret. The message is the location of the treasure of Barbee Collins, a local war hero and Wyatt’s ancestor. Wyatt and Maggie know that you don’t bother setting up a secret treasure hunt unless there’s something worthwhile at the other end. The two are prepared to follow Barbee’s instructions and discover Wyatt’s true family legacy!

William A. See III is a musician, doctor, professor, humanitarian, farrier, and author. He studied at Middle Tennessee State University’s horse science and preveterinary program, Western Kentucky University, the Kentucky College of Osteopathic Medicine at the University of Pikeville, and Oklahoma State University. After completing his postdoctoral residency, he was appointed associate professor of clinical pediatrics at Oklahoma State University. He currently practices general pediatrics in the Tennessee countryside.

See is also the fiddle player and singer for the Glade City Rounders (gladecityrounders.com) and the guitar player, singer, and principal writer for the Jackillacs (jackillacs.com). He also performs as “Tennessee Bill,” a barn-dance caller. He has a large catalogue of unpublished songs and stories.
