Spanish Vocabulary Builder Pre-A1: First Steps: 360+ Essential Words for Absolute Beginners with Easy Pronunciation, Spanish Alphabet, Sound Patterns, ... de Vocabulario Español) (Spanish Edition)

Start Spanish from zero — and build a foundation you can actually use.

Spanish Vocabulary Builder Pre-A1: First Steps is for absolute beginners. No prior Spanish is required. You begin with the alphabet and core sound patterns, then progress through greetings, numbers, colours, classroom language, everyday objects, descriptions, introductions, and polite phrases.

From First Letter to First Conversation

Spanish spelling is highly regular. Once you understand the key letter-sound patterns, you can begin reading unfamiliar words aloud confidently. This book introduces the 27-letter Spanish alphabet, accented vowels, ñ, ü, inverted punctuation, and 24 essential sound patterns with easy English-style pronunciation — no IPA required.

Along the way, you will build approximately 360 useful Spanish words in context.

What You Will Learn

• Alphabet, stress, accents, and pronunciation patterns
• Numbers 0–20, colours, shapes, days, and everyday objects
• Greetings, farewells, classroom instructions, and polite expressions
• How to introduce yourself: name, country, and city
• The difference between tú and usted
• Gender with el, la, los, las and basic plurals
• Simple adjective agreement and useful question patterns
• Regional vocabulary from Spain and Latin America

Learn Through Interlinear Support

English meaning appears directly above or alongside Spanish so you can understand what you read without constantly stopping for a dictionary. Learn vocabulary in context, then reread the same material in Spanish only.

No guessing. No constant dictionary use.
Read, understand, repeat, and gradually rely less on support.

Learn Every Noun the Right Way

Spanish nouns are taught with their article and plural — el libro, la mesa — rather than as isolated words. This builds gender awareness from the beginning. Reliable patterns such as feminine -ción and -dad nouns are introduced, with key exceptions highlighted.

18 Structured Chapters
